What if the sun began to cry?
Would every cloud then want to shine?
And December warmth soothed the streets?
While July clouds spat hail at our feet?
What if the night stars said goodbye?
Could you watch them wilt and die?
What if the trees lost their place?
Silenced and gone without a trace.
What if the dawn just never came?
And our life was a child’s game?
What if your smile still needed mine?
Do you think our love could wait a while?
